It’s not like we don’t have Australians who couldn’t build this golf course if we wanted.
Lots would happily pay.
However, for reasons which could only make sense due to corruption, it appears that the mayor would rather do a deal with a convicted tax felon, confirmed rapist and suspected tax offender.
And he is highly disliked by Australians and has made public statements attacking Australia fairly recently.
You say corruption, I say he’s eyeing to get an invite to the new tropical pedophile island for the Epstein class.
Sign the petition and let the boot-licking Mayor Tate know we didn’t want a Trump tower and we don’t want the golf course either.

It won’t work. Australia hates Trump. Even if someone wanted to commit political suicide by approving it, that course would be constantly vandalised to the point it becomes a national passtime.
Don’t underestimate the power of corruption. Ie, he could just tell the mayor “you can play there at free, bring any guests, free food, free hotel stays”, etc
We overwhelmingly hate him (and he listed traits he hates which encompasses most Aussies), which is why its an anomaly even the tower was considered. The whole thing doesn’t make sense at all
A part of me thinks it would be funny for it to get built to see how many dirt bikes / utes would deliberately tear it up.
Mate I know lots of people that think trump is great. That he knows what he’s doing, that he gets things done and tells it like it is. My opinion of these folk has declined immensely.
So while most people with at least half a brain working do hate the fucker, there’s quite a lot that love him sadly.
Put me in the roster to fertilise the greens overnight.

The proper cash to this mayor, a few councillors and Jarrod Bleijie and this will happen tomorrow, with the right developer in charge.

its funny how he likes to build one of the most useless things in society. Public ones that integrate a natural setting aren’t to bad but private ones always are such garbage.
Best Golf course I played on was actually Emerald probably 20 years ago.
Absolute shitty maintenance, the rough was rough, and no chance of using a golf buggy unless it was 4wd.
But, the green was manicured enough for putting, and was actually fun, instead of standing there like a ding dong in a mostly flat and manicured course where you could look across and see 5 different holes from where you were standing.
And, it was quiet, cheap, and the only other people there, were there to have fun. No pressure.
yeah we have some in our forest preserves and its just like you describe plus trees aplenty. So playing it is like taking a nature hike.
