“Boys These Days Have No Strong Male Leaders,” Says Male Leader Matt Canavan — The Shovel

It just seems so strange but telling that he is saying what he’s saying. In his working life he is meeting with a LOT of men who wield power and status, rah, rah, rah. Still, he can’t see any strong male role models ’out there’ for young boys. He’s not looking ‘in here’. Why aren’t those strong, powerful men he deals with, and himself, doing more, like speaking up more clearly against the ‘toxic voices’, using their access to a lot of resources, including media and money, to help research and organise projects, support groups, activities, and so on, to provide that modelling and that real connection that boys (and all young people) need?

Let’s whine but do nothing.
